On Wednesday 16th November the Hon. Speaker Dr. Anglu Farrugia officially opened the Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) Exhibition held in Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary Main Foyer. This event organised by the Systems of Knowledge Department is intended to help students understand better the importance of NGOs and offer them the opportunity to do the activity part of the Systems of Knowledge project with these organisations. Furthermore the Hon. Speaker Dr. Farrugia had a one hour discussion session with the students where he was introduced to the newly elected Student Representative Council. He then addressed the students and spoke about the relevance and importance of the Parliament in a democracy. He raised the issue of whether the right to vote in an election should be also given to sixteen year olds.
Afterwards the Head of School and the Senior Management Team accompanied the Hon. Speaker around the school campus, particularly the Science and Computer laboratories, the Youth Hub, and the School Library stopping at the School canteen for some refreshments.
