On Thursday 2nd February, a group of 10 French students from the Lycée Jeanne d’Arc in Rouen and their teacher received a warm welcome at Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary School. They came to Malta for a month on an Erasmus project and they will be following lessons at our school.
On Friday 3rd February, the French Department organised an outing for the students of French and the group of French students from Rouen. Their first activity was a Treasure Hunt in Valletta which gave them the opportunity to communicate in French and English while visiting the capital city. The students were then treated to some local Imqaret after which they proceeded to Upper Barraca Gardens from where they took the elevator down to the Waterfront to take the ferry to Birgu. They had some time to visit the historical city of Vittoriosa before taking the ferry back to Valletta. The students had a great time and got to know each other thus meeting the purpose of this outing!
