This week the philosophy department held two educational activities. On Monday the second year advanced level cohort were taken to Buskett Gardens where they spent the day discussing philosophical themes central to the syllabus. Besides its educational value this activity also served as a farewell event to celebrate two years of studying philosophy at GCHSS and the bond built during these years.

On Wednesday, the department held an academic symposium where two students presented a philosophical analyses of the movie ‘Smallfoot’. Both presentations were followed by an open floor discussion where teachers and students asked questions, providing a further challenge to the presenters who were able to meet it head on.
