On 24th March, a group of Computing students from our school were invited to visit two prominent businesses in our country.  The students were first welcomed at GO TV Headend by Mr. Martin Abela.  The students were shown around the server rooms and given a detailed explanation of how the company manages and delivers interactive content to its subscribers.  A historical perspective was also given to the visit since the site hosts the only sound mirror radar (also known as “il-Widna”) to be built in Malta.

The students then proceeded to pay a call at RS2, a leading software development house in Malta.  Here they met Mr. Carl Gatt and were treated with an interesting presentation on possible career paths in Software Development.  The students were also shown around the place and given the opportunity to ask questions.

Students were accompanied by Mr. David Borg and Mr. Anthony Farrugia.
