GEM16+ Programme
Duration
- One scholastic year
Eligibility Criteria
- Students applying for the GEM16+ programme must present their Secondary School Certificate and Profile (SSC&P), or equivalent.
Course Content & Subject Choice
- Students applying for this programme will study the following subjects:
- English Language – 6 lessons
- Maltese or Maltese as a Foreign Language (at SEC Level) – 6 lessons
- International students not studying Maltese or Maltese as a Foreign Language at SEC level, will have 4 lessons in Maltese as a Foreign Language, at Basic Level.
- Mathematics – 5 lesson
- Personal, Social and Career Development (PSCD) – 2 or 3 lessons
- Physical Education – 3 lessons
- Ethics – 6 lessons
- ONE from:
- Biology – 6 lessons
- Physics – 6 lessons
- ICT C3 – 6 lessons
- King’s Trust International – 6 lessons
Certification
- Completion of the full GEM16+ programme leads to certification accredited at MQF Level 3 or Level 2 by the DQSE.
- An MQF Level 3 certification qualifies as one pass for the MC and AIO courses offered at GCHSS
