Last Friday, the Departments of Biology, Environmental Science and Geography organised a successful Earth Day event, which saw enthusiastic participation from students and staff. The event included a range of activities aimed at promoting environmental awareness and sustainability. Students and staff were involved in a planting activity, which involved planting drought-resistant plants near the school gym.
A film screening focusing on environmental issues, and lab experiments were conducted to highlight the impact of pollution on the environment. A compost bin was also set up near the school horticuture field.
Break time was accompanied by a jamming session, while sustainable food items were available from the canteen throughout the day.
