Five students following the course in the Non-formal Award for ESD, together with a few teachers attended a seminar organised by HSBC and Malta CSR Institute on the 5th December 2019. The event was held at the Rabat National Water Conservation Centre. The seminar dealt with Business against Food Waste as part of a larger National Campaign. It focused on Sustainable Development Goals 2 and 12 targeting the Social, Economic and Environmental impact created by the 88 million tons of yearly food waste in the EU. Participants were urged to keep in mind the 800 million people who lack daily fresh food, to plan food consumption and reduce their food waste.
