Euroscola is a unique annual event for schools to learn about Europe, the European Union and European integration. Participants from the 28 EU Member States are selected to experience the life of a Member of the European Parliament for one day. The experience takes place at the Parliament’s premises in Strasbourg, France.
For the past thirteen years GCHSS has thoroughly prepared its students for the Europe-wide EUROSCOLA project with extremely positive results. The participating students take the floor in plenary and committee sessions to debate and vote on resolutions on current affairs, all the while practising their language skills and making friends with fellow students from across Europe.
Every scholastic year a number of GCHSS students are chosen to go to Strasbourg, accompanied by teachers. The selection process starts in November when the interested students are required to apply for a test which is held at school. In order to be eligible students have to be 16 to 18 years old.
