The school library is divided into two areas: a Reference and Lending section.

The Reference section accommodates 155 library users and is accessible to persons with mobility problems. The library boasts a  collection  of books, journals, DVDs, CDs, videos, maps which are available for teachers and students alike. Computers with internet access are also available.

Both fiction and non fiction books are available in the Lending section. Patrons can borrow two books at a time on applying for a borrower’s card which can be obtained free of charge.

Several curricular and extra-curricular activities are held regularly in the lending library during the academic year.


Library patrons can access the OPAC (On-line Public Access Catalogue) for information and to locate library items. The OPAC can be viewed by means of the URL  A borrower can view his/her account as well as having other privileges such as reserving and renewing loans.

In 2009, the Schools Library Service (SLS) within the Student Services Department presented the school with the Library of the Year Award.
