The Organisation of Psychology Students (OOPS) at Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary aims to organise a mental health awareness campaign next scholastic year involving various activities throughout the year. The ultimate goal is that at the end of the campaign, students and staff who feel the need to seek for psychological help, would be able to do so in a walk-in clinic offering free psychological sessions at school by a qualified clinical counselling/ psychologist. OOPS strongly believes that this can drastically improve the quality of life of students and promote their mental health well-being.  This initiative also aims at reducing stigma on mental health issues, by providing information about mental health issues, dispel myths and make mental health services readily available to all, free of charge.
To fund this project  OOPS has applied for the Social Impact Awards, organised by the Gasan Foundation and the Inspirasia Foundation.   This project has now been shortlisted for  the finals in Novemberwhere €80,000 will be donated as grants to the best and most effective submission.
