GCHSS is currently a partner in an Erasmus+ project on Entrepreneurship Education in Europe. As part of this project a group of eight educators from Austria, England, France and Finland visited Malta for a short joint staff meeting. During this three-day visit these foreign educators together with four from GCHSS had meetings with the NSO, the Foundation for Women Entrepreneurs and were given a tour of the production process at David’s Bakery. They were also given the opportunity to see the baking process at Ta’ Nenu’s Bakery. The team also worked on a number of pedagogical initiatives related to building a business plan and creating a persona for an enhanced customer focus. Maltese educators shared their best practices with their guests and presentations were made on the theme discussed in Malta.

The head of school Mr Gaetano Calleja joined the team during the workshop sessions held in the Conference Room of GCHSS and for a lunch at Ta’ Nenu in Valletta.

Since part of the programme was dedicated to cultural awareness, the group was taken to visit Mdina, Valletta, St. Julians and Gozo.

The next joint staff meeting will be held in Perpignon France in November 2019.
